For photography, sequencing is a photo which shows a sequence of events- for example someone doing a sport, if they are skateboarding the camera would be kept in the same position (on a tripod) and it would be the subject who moves, through photoshop, you are then able to reveal each step in the same photo.
Equipment needed:
A camera
A tripod
A subject
A movement- sport for the subject to do.
The camera settings needed for this technique is a very fast shutter speed- so you are able to take as many photos of the subject moving that you can. The more images you get, the easier it is because it then means you can chose the best positioned ones.
This image illustrates the technique of sequencing because it shows the starting point of the subject (standing on top of a tree stump), then we are able to the progression of the outcome of his movement- jumping off onto the floor. This is a good example because the subject is shown clearly and is very sharp, he isn't distorted which may have occurred if the photographer used a slow camera speed- alongside not being able to create a constant sequence final product.
